I am a mathematical modeler working with the Howarth/Marino biogeochemistry group in the Dept of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Cornell University. Recent work emphasizes watershed nutrient accounting and coastal responses as well as interactions with hydrological processes and climate and land use change

My research interests include:

  • Biogeochemistry of watersheds and coastal waters
  • Modelling fate and transport of nutrients and other materials
  • Watershed-scale fluxes and coastal inputs of nutrients and other elements (C, N, P and Si)
  • Development of methods and models for understanding coastal ecosystem metabolism
  • Nutrient budget approaches
  • Anthropogenic impacts, including land use and climate change, on biogeochemical processes
