Carl-Magnus Mörth is a Professor in Environmental Geochemistry, specialized in isotope geochemistry who mainly works within five different areas:

(i) Weathering, weathering budgets and link between weathering of silicate minerals and climate in boreal sub-arctic regions – this addresses especially carbon sources and sinks in relation to weathering reactions;
(ii) Silicon dynamics in the Baltic Sea;
(iii) Historical deposition as observed from sulfur isotopes in ice cores;
(iv) Sulfur, carbon, phosphorus and nitrogen dynamics in boreal terrestrial systems and in the Baltic Sea; and
(v) Modeling of release of nutrients, base cations and metals using GIS-variables and process knowledge.
